NEO: A Topaz Central CPU League Topaz Tourney VIII

The last tournament proved to be quite interesting: returning veterans and new faces alike were tested for their fighting skills in this tournament. Two great upsets were caused by veteran Sans and newcomer Richter Belmont, beating out the reigning champion King K. Rool and Tournament 2 champion Banjo & Kazooie, respectively. The first sponsored fighter, "The Crusader" (from G Corporation), took to the stage and looked promising for a repeat of last tournament, only to be defeated by Toon Link. But above all, it was Mr. Video Game himself, Mario, who not only challenged and tested these new faces but he also won the whole tournament, becoming the winner of the tournament!

However, many eyebrows continued to be raised with this tournament. Kazuya Mishima now joins Crusader, as representatives of G Corporation, Samus Aran and Little Mac return hoping for a rematch, Sonic hoping to improve and focus on the battle, and mysteriously, the absence of top stars such as Zelda, Banjo and Sans.
