-QUARTER 2-
MARCH 1ST - JUNE 30TH
online events not counted
IRL brackets will be added, but only weighed if they are at or above 10 entrants and have a prize pot
-QUARTER 3-
JULY 1ST - SEPTEMBER 30TH
RULES CHANGES FROM Q2 TO Q3
Online events MAY be added later if we dont get more events, and entrance requirements lowered to 8 from 10. Looking into ways to make Davis events count.
-RULES-
3 tourney requirement for pr
Major tournaments players attend wont be added to braacket, but their performance will be VERY SLIGHTLY weighed, and ONLY POSITIVELY. (For example: player x and player y are very close h2h and wins and losses and its incredibly close decision, but player y placed top 32 at a major, and player x didn't make it out of pools. We would look at their wins and losses at that major to possibly make the decision clearer.)
This is for a number of reasons:
Barrier for entry. It can be expensive to fly/drive, pay for reg, and pay for hotel and not everyone can do all of that
If its not in our region then its not our tournament. This is the same reason I don't add bay area tournaments to our supcal pr even if some of our players attend.
Overall the pr panel will weigh consistency over everything, namely peaks. Having less bad losses will be more beneficial for your rank than having a few good wins. Someone who shows up to a lot and places consistently top 8 will be more likely to be on pr than someone who shows up sometimes and occasionally places top 8 but has some stray upsets.
