Hello and welcome back to the Hell Chipmunk Beyblade X Rankings: 2025 Edition
For you new peeps, I (hell chipmunk) made this ranking system as I'm not sure elo is the best way to track rankings in our beloved competitive beyblade x community here in tx, as the currently available elo rankings can be very volatile from tournament to tournament. i believe the best way to track who is the best, is to just look at who the people are that have actually been racking up results and tournament wins.
in this ranking system, you can't go down due to a few losses - you can only climb up or be passed up by someone amassing a higher score from racking up top 8 finishes. conversely, you can only score points by making a top 8 - if you've never made it up there, you won't have any score to speak of.
for you veteran followers of the chipmunk rankings, theres some big changes from the old version of the rankings as im sure you can tell. for one, since i cant manually keep up with all the events anymore, we've evolved from google docs to the same braacket website the texas circuit uses, as you can see.
instead of a tier system we're now on a point system, where a win gets you 500 base points, 2nd gets you 400, 3rd gets you 300, 4th gets you 200, and a simple top 8 gets you 100.
theres also a new minimum requirement of 30 entrants for a tournament to score in the rankings (which is high but these rankings are meant to be elite), and every single entrant above that minimum buffs your possible score by 1%.
for example, winning a 30 person tournament would net you 500 points, winning a 31 person tournament would get you 505 points, a 50 person 600 points, and so on.
please reach out to the Hell Chipmunk™ management team if you notice any discrepancies or have any further questions regarding these rankings, or if any of that didn't make no dang sense.
